We went as a family with our friends the O'Sullivan family and some of their friends to the MCG for the Sound Relief Concert, which was put together to raise money for the Red Cross to support those affected by the Victorian Bushfires in February 2009. Artists included Gabriella Cilmi, Hunters & Collectors, Kasey Chambers, Jet, Kings of Leon, Liam Finn, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Split Enz, and Wolfmother. A live feed/simulcast from the Sydney benefit concert was shown during the band changeovers. Coldplay, Icehouse & Eskimo Joe were some of those featured. Kings of Leon were an amazing live act and "Revelry" was just beautiful to hear on that day. Then ... lo and behold ... the rain came down and down - After Victoria's lengthy drought followed by the devastating fires it was like an omen for hope.
